Camp Details:

2 Groups-

 

Squirt(U10) Group

Open to all boys and girls entering Squirts or U10 in the 2018-2019 season.

OR

 

PeeWee(U12)/Bantam(U14) Group  

Open to all boys and girls entering Peewees, Bantams, U12 or U14 in the 2018-2019 season.

 

NEW in 2018

We have added an extra hour of ice to our camp schedule.  The 1st hour will be straight skilled based, and the 2nd hour will be geared towards small area and full ice games.

Fusion Training's Intense 4-week camp will start in the summer of 2017. It will consist of 2 blocks and each block will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for 4 weeks for a total of 12 sessions.

 

The camp will consist of an on-ice and an off-ice component focusing on making a difference in each player's game in an intense 4-week camp. By running the camp 3 days in a row, players will be able to develop and maintain habits for their upcoming season.

July 24th- August  16th

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

Camp's Daily Schedule:

Peewee/Bantam Group 12:30-1:30 ICE | Squirt Group 1:45-2:45 ICE

The 1st ice time will consist of an uptempo pace, drills aimed towards skating fundamentals, puck control fundamentals, shooting fundamentals  and small area compete drills where we will help players learn how to win those battles. The drills will be used to help create individual skills and hockey IQ.

Peewee/Bantam Group 1:30-2:00 UNDRESS-BREAK | Squirt Group 2:45-3:15 UNDRESS-BREAK

Players will have a quick 30 minutes to undress recover and get ready and have a quick snack  for the next station.

Peewee/Bantam Group 2:00-2:45 OFF-ICE WORK OUT  | Squirt Group 3:15-4:00 OFF-ICE WORK OUT

Each day, players will spend 45 minutes each day either working on  shooting, shooting, plyos, video or a hockey orientated game.  Each day the will progress into the next day pushing the players to work on their skills off ice.

 Workout/Plyos

Players will run through a series of alternating workouts and plyometric drills which will focus on proper techniques.  This area will focus on agility, fast twitch muscles,hand-eye, conditioning and flexibility. Also, the coaches will run players through a variety of body weight lifts to build proper form building a foundation for them to be ready when it's time to start weightlifting.

Game/Hockey Video

One day players will spend 30 minutes learning the game of hockey and how to think through different situations from watching game film.  There the coaches will also show players the importance of playing like a team, back-checking, supporting the puck and using teammates to get open.

Cardio and games

On other days players will spend this time playing a variety of games that help build hockey sense as well as cardio and leg strength.

Peewee/Bantam Group 2:45-3:00 BREAK | Squirt Group 3:55-4:10 BREAK

Players will have a quick 15 minutes to recover and get ready for the next station.

Peewee/Bantam Group 3:00-3:30 DRESS | Squirt Group 4:10-4:40 DRESS

Peewee/Bantam Group 3:30-4:30 2nd ICE | Squirt Group 4:40-5:40 2nd ICE

The 2nd ice time will focus on using the skills used earlier in a variety of small area and full ice games. We will run through a 10 minute warm up to focus more on SKATING, then go right into a variety of games.
